The figure above is called Captain Harlock. I bought him as a child while on holiday and kept him for years before I even knew what he was. I just liked the idea of a Space Pirate. I probably invented oodles of stories about him without knowing that oodles of stories already existed in Manga form. (It’s unlikely I even knew what Manga was when I bought him.)
In the forty or so years I’ve had him he’s gone missing a few times but keeps turning up ready for more adventures. So he’s currently in my bag and I may take him to a few places for photo opportunities.
Oh and I have since looked up a few of his actual adventures…
