Resisting The Urge To Hibernate

The days are getting shorter. I struggle in the colder, darker months. I have done for some time.

In the past, the shorter days meant travelling to and from work in the dark, and then spending the day in a basement with no natural light source. Not any more! I’m still beginning to struggle though. The dark, cold mornings do not inspire me to emerge from under the blankets at any speed, and I’m pretty much ready to go and get back into bed once it gets dark.

I have to motivate myself or I’ll stagnate. I have small routine things I have to do every day. I will make sure all the washing up is done and prepare a cup of tea for my other half coming home from work, depending on his shifts. Late shifts throw me out of this routine.

Doing Blogtober is another thing to motivate me. I may be preparing posts in advance, but I have to find topics/ideas and create the posts. I am considering doing Blogmas in December for the same reasons,

I have been making up jewellery too, in the hopes of a good set of sales in the run-up to Christmas.

The main thing is I get up every day and do something, no matter how small. It would be too easy to curl up every day and vegetate.
