“A Bit Of A Week”

It’s been “a bit of the week” this week. I’m not sure why, but it has. Lots of nice things happened but the odd, worrisome, stressful stuff rugby tackled the nice bits to the ground and then trampled them into the mud.

There have been packed trains, commuters falling asleep on me, drunken customers, frantic mornings, aching joints, headaches, mood swings, long work days, sore feet, bashed fingers, stupid questions, stressful news cycles, bad stuff happening to good people, and a general unfathomable feeling of constant anxiety bubbling up to the surface seemingly quite randomly.

The weekend offers a chance of a reset, a burst of creativity, and no need to actually interact with society for a while, or even be outdoors. Then the cycle of the working week can begin anew to undo it all.

C’est la vie.
