Carrying On In Watford

Last weekend I had a brilliant weekend at The Ultimate Carry On Event in Watford. It was a fabulous excuse to get together with good friends and have a bloody good time.

The day consisted of
– Oh What A Carry On which was a lovingly presented potted history of the Carry Ons by comedy expert Robert Ross
– Tyler Butterworth’s A Bit of A Carry On in which he told us amazing tales of his parents, Peter Butterworth and Janet Brown. I don’t want to give too much away here but we were absolutely enthralled by this show, please do catch it if you get the chance.
– A Q&A with Carry On actors Anita Harris (Doctor & Follow That Camel), Richard O’Callaghan (Convenience & Loving) and Louise Burton (England & Emmanuelle)
– An informal meet and greet with all of the above.
– A mystery Carry On movie to round off the event.

All of that for the bargain price of £20 per person.

We had a great time. I haven’t laughed so heartily in such a long while, it was brilliant!

Here are some photos –

The whole shebang was really well put together. Many thanks to Rob and Gemma who organised it all.
