Winter is coming. I’m terribly in cold weather, I hurt and when I shiver I forget to breathe. I have lots of lovely warm clothes, things to layer up and snuggly hand-knitted jumpers and all that, but they are day clothes, or outside clothes etc… So I succumbed to the latest trend in winter house-wear and bought one of those fluffy hoodies. It’s not the big brand one, this one was a third of the price of one of those and seems to be very effective.
I wore it one chilly weekend at my boyfriend’s house. The timer for his heating is centred around his working day and in the current climate, I didn’t want him to leave it on for me during the morning when I could either wrap myself up in a blanket or pop my brand-new snuggle hoodie on!
It may not be a flattering look, but these hoodies really are warm and cosy. Mine is only short so I did have to pop a blanket over my lap to keep my knees warm, but I can’t say I was cold beyond that. (My feet are kept warm in slipper socks.) In fact, when the heating kicked in I had to change into a not-quite-so-snugly top as I was getting too warm! It was definitely a good buy and I’m going to find it very helpful as it gets even colder because it keeps my shoulders and neck warm and therefore they are going to be less achy.
I got mine from a reasonably priced high-street clothing store, they are pretty much everywhere at the moment though. It’s my current new-favourite-thing!
