Under The Weather

I am writing this on Saturday for publication on Sunday when hopefully I will feel better.

Today is a sofa day. I’m glad I had already decided not to spend time making jewellery this weekend as I will feel less guilty about getting nothing done.

After a perfectly good day yesterday, I spent the moments before settling down for some sleep throwing up. No warning, just a bit of a cough at first and then…well…you don’t need details.

My first worry was that it was the start of a migraine, and it may well have been. I was very shaky afterwords and probably rambling a bit which is how it goes with me. As I become aware a migraine is coming on I try to remember to do things like put my phone on charge before I pass out in bed. I’ve been having them since I was about 15 years old, it’s a rare one that sneaks up on me without enough warning to get to a darkened room and lie down.

I went straight to bed after apologising profusely to Stuart who had to do some of the cleaning up and I think I slept reasonably heavily. I didn’t get the visual disturbances, but I did get the newer (to me) symptom of numbness in my limbs. There was no major head pain so perhaps, despite the violent announcement of its arrival, it was a rather mild one and has passed without too much of the fuzzy aftermath.

Anyway, back to lounging on the sofa for the day.
