A New Mural Near Mathew Street

This new mural has recently appeared on Harrington Street near Mathew Street in Liverpool city centre.

Slightly hidden from most of the Mathew Street drinking and tourist traffic, it is loosely based on Carl Jung’s dream about Liverpool in 1927. He never actually visited the city but his account of the dream called it “the pool of life.”

Near the location of the mural is a building which currently hosts the pub Flanagan’s Apple that has this quote emblazened on it’s front wall along with a statue of Jung (I think the current statue of his head is the third version to appear on the building)

Anyway, the mural looks fantastic. Not sure my little panoramic image below does it justice to be honest.
