Christmas Crafting
I’ve been trying out some embroidery recently. I’m still on very basic stitches, but I’m pleased that I can produce things that look okay.
I decided to have a go at embroidering on a small canvas. I had read that sometimes primed canvases can be problematic when doing this sort of thing, so I picked up a small, cheap one from The Works. Thankfully, there was no major issue with the embroidering, but it did mean I left obvious holes when I’d got the needle in the wrong place.
However, considering I’m a beginner and can’t do fancy stitches, I’m really happy with how it turned out. I drew around 2p coin for the basic shape and then made it up as I went along. I’m particularly pleased with the red seed bead berries.

I’ve added it to the shelves of Christmas decorations, and it does look jolly good!
